Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer. Today we have a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500, and we're going to be test fitting the Saris Glide EX 5-Bike Rack. This is a hanging style bike rack that'll allow you to transfer up to five bikes to and from your destination. Now if five bikes is a little bit too much capacity for you, there is a couple of other options you have. You do have the option for a 4-Bike Rack, the only difference between that one and this one, is that you just have one less set of cradles. So it's going to be the same length of arms, you are going to have more spacing between bikes with the 4-bike version. more

You can also pick it up as a three bike rack.One of the Helium's best features is actually in its name: Helium. It's incredibly lightweight. it's made of an aluminum construction so it's one of the lightest bike racks out there on the market. And that goes for both the two or three bike version.It secures in place just like most hanging style racks. That's by securing down your top tube, that also uses an anti-sway cradle here to prevent bike to bike contact and bike to vehicle contact.Thule has included ratcheting straps that are easy to operate with a lever. more

Reese Explore Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia we're going to be installing Reese's Explore Four Bike Rack, Part Number 63124.This is a lightweight and compact four bike rack carrier. It's going to carry each bike by the frame.Supporting your frame you'll have a V shaped rubber strap, and it locks into place with the hook and loop fastener.This bike rack will work with any bike that has a straight frame so if you have a fat bike, road bike, dirt bike as long as the frame is nice and even, it will fall in there nicely. If you have an obscure frame there is an adapter that can be made to allow your bike to work with this rack.And while it's all loaded up with your bikes you can pull the pin here . and tilt your bikes down. Giving you access to your rear compartment.As you can see it fully opens with no collisions. So you can get any items that you may need in the back without having to take off all your bikes.And to put it back you simply lift it back up into position and reinstall the pin.When you're ready to remove your bike simply pull the straps off and your bikes gonna be fully supported making it easy to lift it and set it aside.And you can reinstall the fasteners. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Kuat Transfer one bike transfer rack. Part # TS01B.Now with the bike installed let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.To start we can tilt this away from the vehicle, with the foot pedal right there. We're just going to bring our foot up, and press down and then tilt the bike rack away. Like so.However, when we come and try to open our tailgate, we can open it to about here and that's when we're going to make contact with the bike. If you wish at your own risk you can still open in up and reach in and get whatever you might need, it's not really that hard. It just depends on how much you want to risk.To tilt it back up just grab ahold of the bike rack, and then tilt it up, until you hear it latch. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, we're going to doing a test fit on a Saris super clamp EX two bike platform rack, part number SA0425F.Now, with a bike installed, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.To start, like most platform racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle. Little black handle right here, we're going to pull down on that, tilt it away.However, to get access to your truck, if we open up our tailgate, we're going to see that as it comes down, it does make contact with the bike right there. Though it does get most of the way down, so if you're careful, you can open it up, hold onto the tailgate and get whatever you need. But do that at your own risk.To tilt it back up, just grab ahold of these two arms on the bike rack and tilt up, til you hear that audible latch.We have four different points where our bike is secured. We have a ratchet strap on the back wheel right here and we also have the same thing on the front wheel, securing it into the cradles.We also have two wheel hooks, one on the back and one on the front. These wheel hooks are putting downward pressure on top of the wheels, forcing them down into the cradles. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 GMC Terrain, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Super Clamp EX 2-Bike Platform Rack, part number SA4025F. Now, we do have a bike installed, so let's get a closer look at some of these features.Like a lot of platform-style racks, this can tilt away from your vehicle to give you access to your trunk. We're just going to pull up on this handle like that, let it tilt away, and as you can see, we can open up our trunk. One of the cool things is that you can see there's a lot of space between the handlebars and the trunk, so you're not going to have to worry about that too much either with whatever bike you choose to put on. So you're able to slide in, get whatever you need, and you can close it up. To tilt it up, just grab ahold of the bike rack and push up until you hear that audible latch.Now we have four different points where our bike is secured to the bike rack. more

Let's get a closer look and show off some of the features. Starting from the outside, we're going to see on the ends of both arms, we do have two bottle openers. The cradles, though they are stationary, have this nice rubber TPE padding, which means that these little notches right there are going to shock the shock absorbers for the frame of your bike while you're traveling. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting Kuat's NV 2.0 two by platform rack. This comes in gunmetal gray with part number NV22G and a metallic black with part number NV22B.This is going to be a premium bike rack. This versions gonna allow you to carry two bikes and it has a no frame contact which is particularly important if you have a carbon fiber bike. Your bikes secured into place by the arm that contacts your wheel and the cradle here in the front. And it holds the rear in place by it's wheel using a ratcheting strap. The ratcheting strap slides in this channel to accommodate various size bikes. more

Now we already have our bike secured down, and we're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack.We're gonna come to our rack and push down just a bit on the rack, and pull out on our lever down here. When we pull out, we're able to tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle. In this position we are gonna gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need.What's great about this rack is that we won't have to worry about taking anything off, and we can still see an in between the vehicle and the bike rack to get out those larger items. We'll close our hatch up, then we can lift up on our rack and that locks into place.Now, how our bike is secured down here at the back, we have a cam buckle strap. We're just going to push on the gray cam on the opposite side and pull that strap through. more

Now we do want to make sure we hold onto our bike rack as well as our bike when we tilt it away, but in this position we are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. What's great about this is that we don't have to worry about taking our bike rack or our bikes off of our vehicle, and we can also stand between our vehicle and our rack to get those larger or smaller items. Once we close that up we can lift our bike rack up back into place, and we'll take our pin, and we want to make sure we replace that as well. more

We're going to come here to the side to the red pin, we're going to pinch that together and pull it out. Then we can tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle with our rack fully loaded. In this position, we are not going to be able to gain full access into our hatch because of our handlebars here that would make contact. These are pretty short handlebars, so you probably won't have any luck with any other bikes, but we have a little bit of access back there to get out smaller items on the side. When we're done, we can lift our bike rack straight up until that clicks into place.Now, back here, if we pull up on our red pin and pull our strap through, we can loosen that up. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video
Today in our 2012 GMC Acadia we're going to be test-fitting the Curt Two Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C18085-FB. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can carry up to two fat bikes on the rear as long as the tire size isn't any wider than 4-7/8". Also, it does tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. To do that, at the base here you're going to see two pins. There's going to be a smaller one here and the larger. Remove the larger pin first like so, then lift up slightly on the rack and release the second. more

Today, on our 2012 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hanger Three Bike Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number MPG2127. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is held into place, we're going to have two points of contact. We're going to have this strap up at the top here, and this one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike to bike contact. The cradles are adjustable, and can be cinched down into place by tightening down the screw at the bottom. more

Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Bike Rack, part number Y02464. We have two ball loppers on the ends here on both arms and we also have these padded cradles here. Once you put the bikes in place, they will not get scratched up and we have the easy to use zip strips to hold them in place. It'll grab your bike by three points. Today in this 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see we already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how this bike rack is actually attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with your bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up top here and one strap off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Also, up at the front here, you'll see that there's a cable lock which will wrap around the bikes and attach up at the front here for added security. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside for now. more

We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side, which is going to service as kind of an anti sway strap to keep it from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside side. Now when you take the straps off, it's always a good habit to put them back into place primarily so you don't loose them while you're driving. Now in fact, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. more

We're going to have 3 straps up at the top here, and one off to the side which is going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from going back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. When you take the bike off and take the straps off, it's always a good idea to put them back in their place, just so you don't lose them while you're driving. Just be downright naughty 00:01:09. All right, next I'll go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first being how much distance is added to the vehicle once the bike rack is installed. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Arcadia, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Quad 2+2 platform style, 2 and 4 bike rack. That part number is S64692. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. At the back and front tire, we have ratchet straps that are just going to secure our wheels down and make sure they don't come up at all. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 GMC Terrain- Video
Today this 2014 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the the Thule Roadway 2 bike rack part number TH912XTR. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack. Lets go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, how the bike is attached to the rack. You are going to have three points of contact with your bikes frame. Were going to have two straps on the top here and we're going to have one strap off to the side that is going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Lets go and take the bike off and set it aside for now. It is always a good habit to put the straps back into place once you have removed them primarily so you do not lose them while your driving. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Acadia, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Hanging-Style 4 Bike Rack. That part number is TH9029xt. Now, we already have our bike secured down. First, we're going to show you how we do that. We have 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, 2 on our frames, and 1 as our anti-sway strap, here on the back. We're going to pull down and lift up to release those. more

Today in our 2012 GMC Acadia we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway Hanging Style Two Bike Rack. That part number is th912xtr. We're first going to show you how we secure our bike down. We have two cradles with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap. We're going to pull down and lift up on each so we can then remove our bike. Then with that out of the way, we'll replace our straps here so we don't lose or damage them. Now we'll take a few measurements. more

Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2002 GMC Envoy- Video
Take a look at this 2002 GMC Envoy. We're going to be test fitting this Soft Ride Element Parallelogram, tilting 4 bike rack, part number SR26248. Now we already have a bike attached onto the rack. Lets show off the most important feature which is how it slides forward from the rear of the vehicle with the bike still attached. This is one of the only hanging bike racks that does this. To do that, you have this knob here. You just pull out, like so, pull forward, and you have access to your rear car door area. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2002 GMC Envoy- Video
Today on our 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Trail Head Four Bike Rack, part number S63380. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, how the bike is attached to the rack, it has four points of contact that are on the bike's frame. You have three straps up top here, and one strap off to the side here, which acts as a anti-sway strap which keeps it from moving back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off. It's always good practice once you take the straps off to put them back on before you start driving, because you don't want them flapping around, and you don't want to possibly lose them while driving. Next I'm going to give you some measurements, though it will give you some idea of how far it sticks out from the vehicle once it's installed. I'll be measuring from the bumper. Right at about 40 inches there. Next we'll do ground clearance from this point here. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2002 GMC Envoy- Video
Today on this 2002 GMC Envoy we're going to be test fitting the Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack, part number C18064. As you can see, we already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look at it and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is actually sitting on the rack we're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up top here and one strap off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep it from going back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now once you remove the straps, it's always a good habit to put them back into place because you don't want them flapping around in the wind while you're driving, you don't want to lose them while you're driving. more

Let's go ahead and take a closer look at it and show off some of the features. Now there's really not too much to this bike rack. It has 3 points of contact to your bike to hold it down in to place. We have a padded frame hook up here and then we also have 2 straps on either wheel that will hold it down. Let's go ahead and take that bike off and set it off to the side. more
